Our founding Directors and our team of Hospitality leaders have decades of experience in the Hotel & Catering industry, who have literally been there and done it. Caterest was born out of passion to deliver a higher quality of food and service to the B&I and Education contract catering market.

We have worked relentlessly within the catering industry and we endeavor to deliver a hands-on approach to our clients. We don’t operate a hierarchy or corporate ladders, we are simply a bunch of hands-on Directors and stakeholders who are committed to delivering outstanding food and service for our clients, that’s our promise to you.

Anyone who has worked with Chris will know how ambitious and passionate he is about his business, the food and his customers. With over 20 years experience in the Hotel & Catering Industry, having already managed a Contract Catering facilities company in Manchester and the founder of several Liverpool restaurants it’s Chris’s job to look after the Contract Catering sector of the business.

Steven Hamblin

Group Operations Director
A decisive and dedicated individual, Steven is dedicated to staff development and training, having run 10 retail stores in Ireland for a large PLC Steven co-founded Caterest with his brother and he is responsible for the day to day operations of Caterest and sister company L&E Leisure Group.


We employ over 100 staff within our group of companies, all who share the same value of providing our customers with quality fresh food and outstanding customer service. No matter what it is you are employed to do, our company ethos is simple, you must be dedicated and passionate, if you have what it takes to join a growing independent company apply now.


Our business is such that we largely rely on our employees to deliver the consistency in quality food and outstanding customer service our customers have come to expect; this is the reason we dedicate relentless hours in staff training and development. Our training matrix has been put together by some of the best training organisations in the UK, all employees new and old will complete introduction modules and ongoing development modules. This will enable our team to stay at the forefront of our business.


We want to continue our day to day business being ‘hands-on’, we have therefore invested heavily in a back office infrastructure which enables us to always be handsfree to be on our sites. We use some of the best cloud systems available as well as an accredited payroll & HR bureau to manage up to date legislation and payroll services. You can also rest assure that all employees who are transferred to us from other suppliers are protected under the TUPE regulations.
